For Families and Children
Our centre helps to support families by offering chances for children to socialize with other children, and gives parents the opportunity to meet other families. Our playroom is set up with areas to provide a chance for your child to paint, use play dough, build with blocks, imaginary and dress up play and have fun. Playgroup consists of playtime, singing songs and sharing at Circle Time, and a healthy snack.
The Family Outreach Resource Centre offers:
- drop-in playgroups at our playroom on Union Street
- a Kindergarten readiness program for four year olds called “Pre-Kindergarten”
- age specific programs that focus on various developmental and social areas such as music, gross motor, cooking, art etc.
- a Toy Lending Library that families can borrow toys and books for their children.
For Parents
The Family Outreach Resource Centre offers a variety of Parent and Family programs through out the year on a rotating and on-going basis. Our goal is to enhance positive parenting skills.
